A vehicle pursuit that passed through three counties and involved seven law enforcement agencies ended early Friday in Kendallville with the help of a police dog, according to authorities.
Angola police officers pulled over Kyle Smith for driving left of the centerline about 7:20 a.m. Friday, Angola police said in a statement.
During the traffic stop, Smith refused to get out of his vehicle and drove off. Officers chased him south on Old U.S. Highway 27 into DeKalb County. Police put down stop sticks, but Smith drove around them and went into Waterloo, police said.
