Middlesex Township police last week arrested a township man on suspicion of driving under the influence, the man’s second DUI charge in 24 hours, police said.
Steven Cadwallader walked into the police station visibly intoxicated just after noon Friday, police said. He wanted to file a complaint and sue the township and police department as a result of his DUI arrest the night before, Sgt. Steven Kingsborough said.
Cadwallader, 56, of the 300 block of Hollowbrook Road, never got a chance to file the complaint, Kingsborough said. He was arrested for DUI at the station.
Middlesex police also had arrested Cadwallader about 6:20 p.m. Thursday on North Middlesex Road after receiving a tip that he was driving drunk after leaving a relative’s house in North Middleton Township.
Cadwallader refused blood tests following both arrests, police said. Bail was set at $150,000.
