The husband of a woman whose naked body was found dumped on the side of a rural dead-end road was charged Wednesday with driving away from his house drunk just before sheriff’s deputies searched the home.

Brent Alling has not been charged in connection with the death of Kathryn Jackson-Alling, Fulton County Sheriff Tom Lorey said. Alling is being uncooperative, the sheriff said, but investigators believe he may know what happened the day of his wife’s death.

“I’m sure Mr. Alling has information that we need to know that he is not willing to share,” Lorey said.

Jackson-Alling, 54, was found dead at 10:30 a.m. Monday in a field just off the top of Tyrrell Road, 2 miles from the couple’s home at 127 Delaney Road.

Alling, 42, was pulled over around 4 p.m. Tuesday for driving erratically on Route 30 near Christie Road. State Police Sgt. Matt Murray said Alling had alcohol on his breath and refused to take a Breathalyzer test. Alling was charged with DWI and several traffic violations, arraigned in Mayfield Town Court and sent to Fulton County Correctional Facility after failing to post $2,500 bail.
