A $25,000 bond was ordered Monday for a suburban Milwaukee man accused of causing a drunk driving crash that killed a female passenger.
Prosecutors said Jaron Omon’s blood alcohol level was 0.22 – almost three times the maximum – when he lost control of his vehicle on County Trunk C near Grafton early Sunday.
Authorities said Omon was taking Kelly Phillips home when he crashed the vehicle. Phillips, also of Port Washington, was killed.
He’s charged in Ozaukee County with homicide by intoxicated driving. Omon is due back in court a week from Monday, when a judge will decide if there’s enough evidence to order a trial.
