Hanford High football coach Josh Young — already suspended five games after his weekend arrest on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol — has been suspended from practice for five weeks as well.
Bullpups Athletic Director Beau Hill said Young will not receive coaching pay during this period, but his teaching salary will be unaffected as he remains in the classroom and supervising the team’s weightlifting class.
Ernie Rodriguez, the team’s offensive coordinator, has been named interim coach.
