An 11-year-old girl remained in critical condition Sunday after her mother’s car was hit by a drunk driver.

Just after 6 a.m., a white Dodge Caravan ran a red light at the intersection of SR-201 and 7200 West and struck a Nissan Murano making a turn, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The 30-year-old woman driver of the Murano and her 8-year-old son were taken to a local hospital by ambulance in poor conditions while the woman’s 11-year-old daughter was flown by medical helicopter to Primary Children’s Medical Center in critical condition …

The driver of the Dodge, 41-year-old Cheyanna Nemath, was treated at a local hospital and then booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of driving under the influence and causing a serious injury, according to a statement from DPS.
