According to Kingsville police, the driver accused of causing a fatal accident over the weekend was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Police say that 21-year old Juan Selvera was behind the wheel of the vehicle that caused the accident in the 1300 block of Seale Street in Kingsville Saturday morning. That accident claimed the life of 20-year old Jacqueline Olivares.

Selvera allegedly fled the scene, but was later arrested and charged with DWI. He was released on bond the next day.

A 32-year-old man accused of causing a deadly DWI crash that killed a teenage boy was identified.

Monday morning police identified the driver as Julian Tapia of San Elizario, Texas.

According to police, Tapia was driving a Ford F-150 that struck the vehicle 13-year-old Pablo Hernandez was riding in Saturday afternoon.

Hernandez died Saturday from his injuries.

The Suburban Pablo was riding in was struck from behind causing it to crash into a rock wall along the 9300 block of North Loop.

Tapia was also hospitalized for injuries caused by the crash, said police. Once Tapia was released from the hospital, police said they arrested him and charged him with intoxication manslaughter.

Tapia was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Moore was charged with First Degree Murder, three counts of Criminal Attempt Felony to wit First Degree Murder, DUI, and Driving While License Revoked.

Memphis police have arrested 29-year-old Shenetta Moore in connection with the murder of a woman early Saturday morning.

Police say Moore intentionally drove her SUV into a crowd at a parking lot of a business in the 1800 block of Winchester, near Millbranch.

Around 2:30 Saturday morning, police were called to a disturbance at the Fantasy World Adult Center. While in route to the scene, they heard that a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer had struck several pedestrians and three vehicles on the parking lot of the location and left the scene.

Officers located the suspect in the vehicle on the entrance ramp to go west on Interstate 240 from Millbranch.

When officers made the scene on Winchester Road, they found four injured people that had by struck by Moore’s vehicle.

Tiffany Jenkins, 30, was rushed to the MED and was pronounced deceased. Three other people, a male and two females, were transported to the hospital in non-critical condition.

The police investigation found that a large group of people had attended a party and became involved in a fight in the parking of Fantasy World Adult Center. That\’s when police say Moore intentionally drove her SUV into the crowd of people.

Moore was charged with First Degree Murder, three counts of Criminal Attempt Felony to wit First Degree Murder, DUI, and Driving While License Revoked.

Sandy, Ore. – Car strikes, kills pedestrian; DUII charge filed | kgw.com

Police say a pedestrian in Sandy was struck and killed by a motorist who has been charged with assault and drunken driving.

Sandy police Officer Samuel Craven says 41-year-old Michael Topliff was hit late Friday by a Ford Mustang headed north on Beers Avenue. He died Saturday at a Portland hospital.

The motorist — 32-year-old Philip Krogstad of Sandy — initially fled before returning on foot.  Craven says Krogstad’s blood-alcohol content was .14, nearly twice the legal limit.

Krogstad’s car was found at his apartment complex, just a block from the crash scene.

He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail. Craven says additional charges are likely because the victim died.

Anaheim – DUI suspected in crash that killed passenger, injured driver | presstelegram.com

A man was killed and another man suffered critical injuries during a single-vehicle crash in Anaheim, where the driver may have been driving drunk, authorities said today.

The fatality was a passenger and the crash was on Canyon Rim, west of Via Corral, at 10:51 p.m. Friday, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The vehicle was speeding west on Canyon Rim when it hit a tree, said Anaheim police Lt. Tim Schmidt.

The passenger, a resident of Yorba Linda, was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the motorist to UCI Medical Center in critical condition, Schmidt said.

The police lieutenant said the crash was part of a drunken driving investigation but would not disclose any more details.

The name of the passenger will be released after survivors are informed of the death, according to the Coroner’s Office.

Millington, Md. – Drunk driver crashes into house, dies | abc2ne3ws.com

A suspected drunk driver who police trailed from Delaware into Maryland died after he crashed his car into a home in Kent County, police said.

According to police, officers from the Clayton Delaware police department tried to stop a driver in a 2004 Saturn SUV when they noticed him driving erratically on Rt. 291 Saturday morning. The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Adam Hughes, refused to stop.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Maryland State Police were called  to a single vehicle crash in Millington.  Responding troopers found Delaware police already on the scene where a 2004 Saturn SUV had crashed into a vacant house. Hughes was the only person in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation found that Delaware police tried to stop Hughes in Delaware on suspicion of driving under the influence but he refused to pull over. Police followed him on Route 291 until he lost control, hit a utility pole and then ran into a vacant house.

Maryland State Police are investigating.

Locke, N.Y. – Deputies say snowmobile driver killed in crash was intoxicated | syracuse.com

A Dutchess County man killed Jan. 4 when his snowmobile collided with a farm tractor in Locke was legally intoxicated at the time of the accident, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office announced today.

The office said its investigation shows Frederick W. Kussin III, 55, of Stormsville, had a blood alcohol count of .11. Kussin also owned two homes on Hoag Avenue in Locke.

The investigation showed that just before the accident, the tractor operator exited a field and parked his tractor and manure spreader on Cloverleaf Drive, blocking the road. James Ball, the tractor operator, had gotten off the tractor and was in the process of closing a gate when Kussin came along on a 2005 Yamaha snowmobile and hit the tractor.

Kussin was pronounced dead on arrival at Cortland Regional Medical Center.
