A Dundee woman is dead after she was struck and killed Saturday night near her home. The incident happened on Dixon Road near South Custer Road.
Troopers say Brenda Heiden Flaugher, 51, was walking along the roadway when a pickup truck hit her.
State troopers say the driver, whose name has not yet been released, may have been drinking.

Drunk driving is suspected to have played a role in at least four out of five area traffic crashes involving motorcycles this weekend. Two of those crashes resulted in fatalities.
A 25-year-old man from Carlisle was killed Saturday night when he drove his motorcycle off the right side of Greenbush Road in Preble County and hit a utility pole.
The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday just east of Gratis-Jacksonburg Road.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. David Robison said Derrick Hamilton was wearing sunglasses while riding in the dark and was believed to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was not wearing a helmet and an initial coroner’s report indicates that his spinal cord was severed in the crash.

A single-car crash in the Benndale community of George County killed a man and injured three others Saturday night, the George County Sheriff’s Office said.
It was the sixth death related to drunk driving since April in the county.
The wreck happened about 7 p.m. on Fairley O’Neal Road, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shonna Pierce said.
The four-door sedan, driven by J.D. Bradley, 25, left the road and struck a tree, ejecting two people and partially ejecting a third, according to Pierce.
A passenger, Adam Riley, 30, was killed, and Bradley was one of two people who were airlifted to University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, Pierce said.
According to Pierce, Bradley’s girlfriend told deputies Sunday that he had no feeling from the waist down, but it was too early to determine whether the condition is permanent.
Alfred Bradley, 21, also was airlifted to USAMC, while 20-year-old Adrian Bradley was treated and released from George Regional Hospital in Lucedale, according to Pierce.
The wreck was alcohol related, she said, and added to the recent death toll in the largely rural dry county, which has a population of about 23,000.

A nurse heading to work was fatally injured when a pickup truck driven by a man who later admitted drinking since 5 p.m. Saturday crashed into the nurse’s sportutility vehicle after running a red light near Hickory Hills, police said.
Heidi Roseen, 51, of Lockport, was declared dead soon after an ambulance crew brought her to Palos Community Hospital following the crash at La Grange Road and 95th Street, west of Hickory Hills, about 6:20 a.m., said Cook County Sheriff’s spokesman Frank Bilecki.
Matthew Senica, 25, of Orland Park, has been charged with Aggravated DUI, and will appear in court on Tuesday. He reportedly has a prior DUI history.

A Thibodaux bicyclist was struck and killed by a drunk driver along La. 308 this morning just outside ths city limits, State Police said.
Ethen Miller, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after being struck by a 2010 Jeep Wrangler just after midnight, Troop C said in a news release.
The Wrangler’s driver, Brent Tauzin, 40, also of Thibodaux, fled, and police said they found his SUV at his Thibodaux home shortly afterward.
Tauzin submitted to a breath test that determined he had a blood-alcohol content of .194, which is more than double the legal limit of .08, Troop C said. He was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide, hit-and-run and improper lane usage. Tauzin, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
Police said Miller was not wearing a helmet. Helmets are required by law In Louisiana only for children under 12 who ride on public roads and sidewalks.

Police say one man was killed and three others injured after a woman accused of driving under the influence struck a motorcycle on Interstate 95 in southeastern Connecticut.
The Hartford Courant reports ( http://cour.at/LGP2Hf) that police say Christina Morton-Lane of Old Lyme struck a guard rail early Sunday morning, crossed over the grass onto the highway, hitting a motorcycle driven by Robert Burr of Clinton.
His bike was struck by another motorcycle. He and his passenger were ejected.
The 35-year-old Burr was declared dead at the scene. His passenger, Emily Gorin of Clinton, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Two people on the second motorcycle also were hospitalized.
Police say the 23-year-old Morton-Lane was arrested for driving under the influence. She was not injured in the crash, and it was not known if she’s represented by a lawyer.

Police say a 14 year old girl walking on West Milton Road was struck by a Ford Escape Saturday night at around 10:30. Authorities have identified the driver as 21 year old Gavin J. Staulters, upon further investigation they determined that Staulters was intoxicated.
Staulters was uninjured. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and arraigned in the Town of Milton Court. He was remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail or bond.
Neighbors and a law enforcement source said the teen was Kari Liedel, a student at Ballston Spa High School.
Friends and classmates expressed condolences through social media throughout the weekend, posting messages on Twitter with the hashtag #ripkari and establishing a memorial page on Facebook.

A veteran Philadelphia highway patrol officer is dead as the result of a car driving the wrong way at hi-speed on I-95 north.
“Around 3:15 a.m. this morning, Police Officer Brian Lorenzo, assigned to Highway Patrol, was en route home from work, just shy of the Cottman Avenue exit, was struck by a vehicle driving in the southbound lane,” said Deputy Commissioner Richard Ross.
Officer Bryan Lorenzo was 48-years old and a 23-year veteran survived by his wife and three children. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the striking car, who police have identified as 48-year old John Leck Jr. of Levittown, Pa., was supposedly found to be driving under the influence.
Police say Leck Jr. will be charged with vehicular homicide , DUI and related offenses.

An Atascocita woman was killed Saturday night when her husband reportedly struck her with his pickup truck.
The accident happened in the 18900 block of Shay Ln. near Springlea Dr. shortly before 11 p.m. July 7.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office accident investigator Deputy B. Troyer told The Observer at the scene that Anthony and Karne Miller were driving on Shay Ln., where both live, in a Chevy Silverado 7500 with dually tires.
“There was some kind of disturbance between the two,” Troyer said. “The wife got out of the truck as the husband was still driving and was run over.”
