The fight started when the son took the car keys from his intoxicated father, identified as James A. Chidester Jr.
Just prior to officer arrival witnesses reported seeing the father driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
The son was taken to a local hospital for injuries to his jaw where he was treated and released.

Chidester was taken to a local hospital for an eye injury and an OWI legal blood draw. He was released from the hospital and taken to the Rock County Jail where he is being held pending an initial court appearance.
The 16 year old son was referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of substantial battery.
