Carson Campbell
Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that on the 13th day of June 2012, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dump truck overturned at a residence off Eoff Road. Upon arriving at the scene and doing some investigation, Deputies learned that the dump truck had been stolen the night before.
Investigator Ryan Watson processed the scene where evidence was gathered indicating who might have been in the truck and that they had been injured.
Further investigation revealed that a Carson C. Campbell, age 21, of Harrison, had been arrested the night before at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center for Driving While Intoxicated. Campbell told Cpl. Upton that he was “drunk” and had wrecked his four-wheeler off Prairie View Road and this was how he was injured. No four-wheeler was able to be located.
Campbell was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Department the next morning, where he confessed to stealing the dump truck and driving it down several roads in the southern half of the county before finally overturning the vehicle on Eoff Road.
