An area man is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a suspected drunk driver.
Amarillo Police were called out to the 2400 block of South Crockett early this morning.
22 year old Hector Alejandro Gonzalez had reportedly been struck by a vehicle and the driver fled the scene.
Officers located the suspect, 19 year old Collin Lee Johnson, at the 5900 block of Shawnee.
He was booked into the Potter County Jail for failure to stop and render aid, as well as intoxicated assault.
This incident is also being investigated as an assault for possibly being linked to another disturbance.
