Hobart, IN: Police say motorcyclist in fatal crash was intoxicated | Hobart News

A 33-year-old Hobart man was intoxicated when driving a motorcycle that crashed and caused the death of his passenger in April, police said.

William D. Worley was charged Tuesday with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, a class C felony; operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, a class D felony; and three misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Rachelle M. Burge, 41, of Lake Station, died from blunt force trauma in the April 18 crash in the 1300 block of South County Line Road in Hobart.

Burge was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by Worley.
