Seven months after the death of her boyfriend, Shay Sistare struggles to move forward with her life.

“I don’t sleep without medication. I’m terrified whenever I get into a car,” she told a Lancaster County courtroom Friday.

Sistare and her boyfriend, Brennon Conklin, were traveling on Interstate 77 in Chester County last October with a weekend of fun planned and their whole lives ahead of them.

That changed in seconds when a drunken driver suddenly swerved into their lane and clipped their car.
