The Dalles, OR: Drunk driver arrested. Steering from passenger seat. 10-year-old son in driver’s seat.

34-year-old Jose Israel Torres was arrested in The Dalles Sunday morning after an Oregon State trooper pulled over his 2004 GMC Envoy and found Torres’ 10-year old son in the driver’s seat.

Trooper Mark Jubitz observed Torres’ vehicle driving with its hazard lights on and struggling to stay in the lane at 10:45 a.m Sunday. When Jubitz pulled over the vehicle, Torres was in the passenger seat steering the vehicle, and had empty beer cans in the back seat and an open container at his feet.
