Springfield, MO: Man pleads guilty after DWI crash that killed nurse | News-Leader.com

A Springfield man pleaded guilty today to charges stemming from a drunk driving crash that killed a 55-year-old woman — a hospice nurse once named “Nurse of the Year.”

Prosecutors say Matthew Charles Brannon, 32, entered a guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter in the first degree for causing the death of Kathryn Wells on Oct. 16, 2010.
