A Charlestown High School teacher suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a car while walking in front of the school Tuesday night. A second teacher was also hit, but she was not hurt.
Police said the 30-year-old Charlestown woman driving the car was intoxicated and had a seven-year-old child in the car with her. The child was released to family members.
The driver was charged with operating while intoxicated. Additional charges are pending.
